After the first show with Mike Gordon in Europe since 1998, I decided to skip moe. to see Dark Star Orchestra playing the Grateful Dead in the other room. The last show of this first night in Jam in the Dam was a two sets affair and I arrived during the last song of the first one.

During set break I went front row and bumped into Stephen again. We stayed until the end of the second set and it was an amazing show once again. I don't know a lot of Grateful Dead songs but I can appreciate the good jams they played, even if I got a little distracted by the camera-stealing chick !

After these tiring day and evening, I was very pleased to be back at my hotel in less than 3 minutes. Everyone was asleep of course and I managed to slip in my bed without a sound.

After the first show with Mike Gordon in Europe since 1998

Hey, just so you know, MIKE has come to europe quite a few times with his solo band. It's PHISH that hasn't set foot in europe since '98...at least not for performing...According to the owner of the Grey Area coffeeshop, they have come to europe (for vacation) and stopped by his shop as recently as in the early 2000's.

?! Are you sure Mike has come to Europe?? When?
I know he's been to Canada but I'm pretty sure that Jam in the Dam were his first show in Europe since 1998. I talk about concert of course. I don't know if they went in Europe on vacation.

OK, I've been through all Mike setlists on Phish.net and he never performed in Europe before Jam in the Dam. Actually he is the only Phish member who played shows in Europe without Phish (Jam in the Dam + London).

He did play in wities with european-sounding name (Manshester, Turin, St. Petersburg, Montpelier) but there are all in the USA (TN, NY, FL, VT).

Apart from Canada and USA, the only country he performed in is Costa Rica with Kreutzmann & Murawski).

If you have other source, please share ! But I'd be very frustrated if he went to Europe and I didn't know ! :)

Again, I'm not talking about vacation. Phish.net doesn't track every vacation from Phish members hopefully !
